UK LTD in 24 Hours is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and the misuse of UK companies. This policy summarises the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks we carry out under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017.
Customer due diligence
- We verify the identity of every director, shareholder and person with significant control using a valid passport or national ID card.
- We verify residential address using a document dated within the last 3 months, such as a bank statement or utility bill.
- We ask about the nature and purpose of the business you intend to run.
- Directors and people with significant control must also verify their identity with Companies House.
Enhanced due diligence
We may ask for more information, such as source of funds, where a client is a politically exposed person, is connected to a high-risk jurisdiction, or where an order shows other risk factors.
Sanctions
We screen clients against the UK sanctions list and do not provide services to sanctioned individuals or entities.
Refusal and reporting
We may refuse or end a service if checks cannot be completed. Where required by law, we report suspicious activity to the National Crime Agency, and we may not be able to tell you that we have done so.
Record keeping
We keep due diligence records for at least 5 years after our business relationship ends.
